Considering a more cost-effective heating system for your home? Or a greener option that reduces your carbon footprint? Try Electric Thermal Storage (ETS)!

Electric heat is a clean and efficient way of heating your home. In order to make electric heat more economical, your co-op has developed an ETS program consisting of a special rate schedule (Rate 17).

ETS works by heating bricks during off-peak hours when rates are at their lowest. Once the bricks are heated, they store the heat for several hours. During peak hours the heating elements to the bricks are cut off. The stored heat is then released into your home either by hot air or hot water.

ETS is a green heating system, removing reliance on oil or wood and reducing the amount of energy consumed by charging during off-peak hours.

Check out rate savings by comparing Rate 17 (Electric Thermal Storage) and Rate 1 (Residential).
