Sullivan County REC Craig A. Harting Memorial Scholarship
The Sullivan County REC Craig A. Harting Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors.
To be considered for the scholarship, students must meet the below criteria and submit an application:
- Student's guardian is an SCREC member;
- Student attends either a public or private school while living in our service territory, or is homeschooled/cyberschooled in our service territory;
- Student will be obtaining a postsecondary education (e.g., university/college, trade school, electric lineworker school, etc.) OR opening a small business; and
- Student cannot be an immediate relation to any employee or director of SCREC.

PREA Scholarships
PREA Trust Fund in Memory of William F. Matson:
The Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association (PREA) Scholarship Trust Fund in Memory of William F. Matson offers scholarships to high school seniors whose parents are members and/or employees of Pennsylvania and New Jersey electric cooperatives (including SCREC).
Requirements include:
- Applicants must furnish necessary aptitude test scores, transcripts (high school or unofficial college), and financial aid information if applicable.
- All applications and required documents are due to Steph Okuniewski (Stephanie_Okuniewski@prea.com) no later than May 5, 2025.
Jody Loudenslager Scholarship:
The Jody Loudenslager Scholarship is available to any college-bound or current college student who was selected to participate in the PREA Youth Tour program.
Requirements include:
- Applicant must have attended Youth Tour.
- Applicants must furnish necessary aptitude test scores, transcripts (high school or unofficial college), and financial aid information if applicable.
